I am speechless. Really? Really?…This is what is happening in Libya right now, this photo is just too powerful and sad. Look at the boy’s face, how he’s trying to hold his mother’s (possibly grandma’s or aunt’s face)…I am deeply upset. I just can’t believe it. A lot of kids have probably gone through or will go through what this boy just experienced. I just had to post this photo.

Cutting off hair in ancient Asia (Japan, china, Korea & possibly some other Asian cultures) symbolizes being banished or rejected from their home. In the more modern age that is now, cutting long hair into a short cut means to forget the past, leaving the old and starting anew.

Thank You

Left and Right Brain

Left brain: I am the left brain. I am a scientist. A mathematician. I love the familiar. I categorize. I am accurate. Linear. Analytical. Strategic. I am practical. Always in control. A master of words and language. Realistic. I calculate equations and play with numbers. I am order. I am logic. I know exactly who I am.
Right brain: I am the right brain. I am creativity. A free spirit. I am passion. Yearning. Sensuality. I am the sound of roaring laughter. I am taste. The feeling of sand beneath bare feat. I am movement. Vivid colors. I am the urge to paint on an empty canvas. I am boundless imagination. Art. Poetry. I sense. I feel. I am everything I wanted to be.

Worst feeling in life.

Just one text. A simple text. Hi. Two letters, such a simple meaning. But then that one text, leads to another text. Pretty soon, nightly phone calls are a necessary habit. Phone calls die out, and you're meeting up at the local frozen yogurt or smoothie place, hanging out. Hang out after hang out, a kiss appears. Kissing leads to hand holding, and soon your relationship status changes to taken. Year after year, "I like you" is changed to "I love you". And then that one day will come, that one date that will change your life forever. The one date, where, the "I love you" changes to "I do.." A two letter text, changed to a two word phrase. A text, that changed someones life forever.

  • You check your phone, because you have nothing to contribute to the conversation.
  • Wait for the right time to say something, you get interrupted. Twice.
  • Someone you vaguely know is walking in front of you. You maintain distance.
  • Hold the door for some. They’re slightly too far away.
  • Someone comes online, you say “hey”, they go offline.
  • You go in for the high-five. Other person isn’t looking.
  • Accidentally look someone in the eye. Pretend to look past them.
  • You say something stupid. You play it down, but everyone sees your face going red.
  • You say “hi” to someone. It comes out as a whisper.
  • Your friends formed a circle while you were gone. You can’t fit and end up standing slightly askew.
  • Waiting by yourself for friends. Pretend you’re texting.
  • You tell a hilarious joke. Nobody laughs.
  • You’re in class and you want to cough. Some other person just coughed, now you have to wait.
  • The person in front is walking slightly slower than you are. You walk at an uncomfortable speed to get past them.
  • Getting ready to go get a tissue in class, and someone just got up and grabbed a tissue so you have to sit back down.
  • When someone’s phone rings and you check yours, and they give you a weird look because its not even your ring tone.

Keep Calm

We are a singular

Today I have seen people from all over the world support Libya and New Zealand; today we are not "American", "English", "Spanish", "Libyan", "African", "Egyptian", etc... Today, we are human and we are a singular heart beating in unison with hope for our fellow humans and the rights to life and liberty they all deserve.

‘An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet,
regardless of time, place, or circumstance.
The thread may stretch or tangle,
but it will never break.’
- an ancient Chinese belief

The Libyan people are going strong against the government!
Almost 100 people have died for freedom in the past 3 days! These people died to see a change! They died to give the rest of us hope! And even though they are no longer a part of this world…we need to keep them in our hearts. The Libyan people need to keep fighting for their freedom! Nobody can give you freedom. Nobody can give you equality or justice or anything. If you’re a man, you take it.

Please reblog and tweet about Libya to raise awareness. Please, I am begging you! Help my people! One tweet and one blog post will not affect your life, but it will affect theirs! The people need help: the media can’t get in, the phones are all monitored, the hospitals are overcrowded and are in desperate need of blood, people are hurt and dying, the army is ruthless, and Gaddafi is still there…but the people are not giving up hope! That means, neither can we! Hope for all!

Fall in love.

A Food

You'll know

Someday you’ll find your one true love. You’ll look so cute walking hand in hand, and kissing at the red lights and everyone thinks, “aww they make me want to puke.” But what do you feel inside? You feel that the world stops moving when you are with that one person. You feel ten different kinds of emotions, and you can’t speak of how you feel, you just feel it. You know that this particular person is all you need to get you by. You know that you could be with this person for the rest of your life; and still be as in love as you were the day you realized I love this person. That feeling never goes away if it’s true. You’ll still have it. Forever and always. You’ll have your times where you’re mad, or you’ll have your times when they’ve let you down, but you know no matter what you love them and couldn’t live without them. Your soul thrives off of theirs, your heart beats in unison. You know that this is your one true love and they are meant to be there. It’s not just how people see the two of you, or how you see each other. Its that undeniable beat of your hearts that proves your never-ending love. When it’s love, trust me, you’ll know. You’ll know.

Pillow Talk by Joanna Montgomery is a project aiming to connect long distance lovers. Each person has a pillow for their bed and a chest sensor which they wear to sleep at night. The chest sensor wirelessly communicates with the other person’s pillow; when one person goes to bed, their lover’s pillow begins to glow softly to indicate their presence. Placing your head on the pillow allows you to hear the real-time heartbeat of your loved one.

The result is an intimate interaction between two lovers, regardless of the distance between them.

Boy: I miss you.
Girl: And so?
Boy: I really did.
Girl: K.
Boy: I'm sorry.
Girl: What for?
Boy: For ignoring your efforts to communicate with me.
Girl: Its OK. I got used to it, then I got tired, so I stopped trying and started forgetting.
Boy: I..
Boy: I...tried to forget about you, you see.
Girl: ....
Boy: Cause it tore me apart that we can never be...
Girl: its OK.
Boy: Why is it so OK?
Girl: I got used to days hoping you'd be back, but then you never did. I started facing reality, and started to get a move on.
Boy: I too late?
Girl: Too late for what?
Boy: To court you?
Girl: You know, I've always wanted to hear that from you. Back then, a year ago. But...I got used to only wishing for it..then realized it would never happen, so I stopped hoping.
Boy: I'm really sorry, but dont worry, this time, I will make your wishes come true.
Girl: Its my turn to say sorry. Time got into me. You've broken my heart already. I cant risk experiencing that again. :/ Thank you anyway. For communicating with me after a year of silence.

I ♥ Jesus :D

Christ. He loves us more than we could ever imagine. We just have to accept Him in our lives; in our hearts and minds. And as we accept Him, we receive the eternal life and a promise that he will come back to save us from depths of hell. We are all enrolled to hell but only Jesus Christ can change it. If only everyone will accept Him as our Lord and savior, everyone will be saved. Do you want to be saved too? Call upon Him. Ask him for forgiveness. Take the chance of changing your life for the best. Live for good, live for Jesus Christ. Trust Him. Don’t ever doubt his righteousness. Give him glory, love, and lift His name up high.

A hug.

Filipino: Oh, is that true?
Is that a banana you are eating?
American: Yes.
Filipino: You know, in Philippines, only monkeys eat banana.

The history of Oscar, the blind boy

The history of Oscar, the blind boy
“When impatient shoppers see little Oscar O’Sullivan-Hughes using his white cane, they assume it is just a toy and tut disapprovingly at him.But two-year-old Oscar was actually left blind at birth due to a rare genetic defect. Now his parents have spoken out to raise awareness of child blindness.

Oscar, who lives with parents Kate Hughes and Anthony O’Sullivan in Wythenshawe, Manchester, has Lebers Congenital Amaurosis. Ms Huges, 30, said: ‘Oscar’s used the cane since he’s been able to walk. Often when we are out in the shops he will stop to smell the bread, touch the fridges or smell the shampoos. ’People will lose patience with him and stride right over his cane. They have never knocked him over but they are so insensitive and will tut at him because he is holding them up. ’Often we think it’s because they are not aware or because they see that he is so young and think he can’t possibly be blind.’”
